This saree has been recreated from an original that is easily a hundred years old, one that belonged to a dear customer Jayanti’s grandmother. We believe the original wasn’t from Benaras inspite of the konia, because of the design and the silk used. The saree stands apart with its distinct design and styling of the elephants on the border, especially the head and trunk. It also has a corner mango with more mango motifs on the pallu. The saree has a plain rani pink shot body with an elbaorate and intricately woven zari pallu. It has been woven using pure zari and includes a blouse piece.
