Description
These sarees were mostly woven in a mix of silk & cotton, though pure silk sarees were not uncommon. The most common designs featured a silk base or silk & cotton base with cotton used to create the checks in the body. We revived this saree design many times over the decades and excited to share the peices that we restarted again. Often called ‘Kaal Yeranganada’ which refers to the vertical stripes that descend down the body of the saree through to the border. It literally means descending down to the feet. The saree is woven in pure silk and comes with a blouse piece.
