A very dear Patron brought us her mothers' saree to look and tell her more about. We realised that the saree was Bangalore silk with a Satin border. What was intersting was that it has elephants on the bottom border and these elepants had meena work too. The other interesting thing we noticed that the elephants on the pallu were all placed in a vertical line instead of horizontal, which is how it usually is.Recreating this saree was really tough task as we were working ith a new weaver and they hadn't woven motifs on the border before.Handwoven in pure silk the saree comes with a blouse piece in the colour of the pallu.
