This saree is a recreation of a saree that was part of the trousseau of our friend Geetha. We believe the original was woven in Karnataka. What made us want to recreate this piece are the elephants on the pallu, they are unusual because they are standing on their hind legs in a beautiful frame. Handwoven in pure silk with pure zari,the saree comes with a blouse piece in the colour of the pallu.
