This design is Pavithra's take on the classic veldari motif. She added in a few more motifs to the veladari to make this beautiful body design that is woven in silk thread on a lemon base. The border is a korvai in wine colour with zari rudraksh motifs and the pallu has been adapted from an old silk saree in our collection. Though the pallu looks very simple, it is difficult to weave as it has three types of temple motifs on it and the stripes on the pallu do not go down till the border. Pure zari has been used in this saree and it includes a blouse piece in the same colour as the pallu.
